Job Description

Job Summary:

The Floor Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the retail jewellery showroom, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the overall presentation and efficiency of the store. This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a passion for jewellery, and the ability to manage a team effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Customer Service:

  • Drive sales by motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a personalized and memorable shopping experience for clients.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations professionally and promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients.
  • Stay updated on product knowledge, including gemstones, metals, and jewellery trends, to assist customers effectively.

2. Team Management:

  • Supervise, train, and mentor sales associates and other staff members.
  • Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to the team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

3. Store Operations:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the inventory team to ensure adequate stock availability.
  • Ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
  • Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards to enhance product display and attract customers.
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols to safeguard high-value merchandise.

4. Financial Management:

  • Monitor daily sales reports and take corrective actions to meet revenue goals.
  • Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in transactions.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and controlling operational costs.

5. Marketing and Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to execute in-store promotions and events.
  • Provide feedback on customer preferences and market trends to support marketing strategies.
  • Encourage the team to upsell and cross-sell products during promotions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the jewellery or luxury goods industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of jewellery products, including gemstones, metals, and design trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and inventory management software.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • High level of integrity and attention to detail.
