Floor Manager oversees daily operations, staff, and customer experience in retail, hospitality, or production, ensuring smooth workflow, policy adherence, and efficiency by managing staff schedules, resolving issues, maintaining standards (cleanliness, merchandising), and boosting sales/service through training and coordination, acting as the link between management and front-line staff. Key duties include handling customer complaints, training/coaching employees, managing inventory/stock, enforcing safety, and optimizing floor presentation for better sales and satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:Staff Management: Hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, performance reviews, and ensuring policy/dress code compliance.Customer Experience: Greeting customers, resolving complaints, ensuring high satisfaction, and maintaining a positive environment.Operational Oversight: Monitoring daily activities, ensuring smooth workflow, maintaining cleanliness, setting up displays, and coordinating with other departments (kitchen, inventory).Sales & Performance: Meeting sales targets, analyzing sales data, maximizing profitability, and implementing strategies to improve commercial performance.** Health & Safety:** Enforcing health, safety, and security protocols on the floor. In Specific Industries:Retail: Managing visual merchandising, stock levels, pricing, and sales floor appeal.Hospitality: Ensuring seamless guest service from front desk to dining/rooms.Broadcasting/Production: Coordinating crew, talent, equipment, set changes, and acting as the director's eyes on the studio floor, giving cues and managing the audience.
