Job Description

The Floor Incharge is responsible for the smooth day-to-day functioning of the floor, ensuring proper coordination among employees, maintaining discipline, monitoring customer handling, and achieving operational targets. The role requires strong team management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Floor & Operations Management

- Manage and monitor daily activities on the floor.

- Ensure smooth and efficient workflow throughout the shift.

- Allocate work and responsibilities among team members.

- Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, grooming, and discipline.

- Ensure proper utilization of manpower and resources.

2. Team Management

- Supervise and guide floor staff in their daily activities.

- Conduct daily briefings and communicate targets/instructions.

- Monitor individual and team performance.

- Resolve employee-related operational issues.

- Coordinate with HODs and other departments when required.

3. Customer Handling

- Ensure customers receive professional and timely service.

- Handle customer queries and complaints at the floor level.

- Escalate critical customer issues to the concerned HOD/Manager.

- Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.

4. Target & Performance Monitoring

- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly targets.

- Track team performance and productivity.

- Prepare and maintain daily floor reports/MIS.

- Identify performance gaps and take corrective action in coordination with the concerned manager.

5. Process & Compliance

- Ensure employees follow company policies, SOPs, and safety guidelines.

- Maintain cleanliness, discipline, and proper housekeeping on the floor.

- Ensure all required documents and records are maintained.

- Report operational issues, incidents, and irregularities to management.

6. Coordination

- Coordinate with Sales, Service, Accounts, HR, Administration, and other departments.

- Ensure timely communication of important information to the team.

- Support management in implementing new processes and initiatives.

Required Skills

- Good leadership and team-management skills

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and reporting

- Ability to work under pressure

- Good organizational and time-management skills

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate in any discipline preferred.

- 2–5 years of relevant experience in floor supervision, operations, retail, automobile, sales, service, or customer handling.

- Supervisory/team-handling experience will be an advantage.

Working Conditions

- Full-time position.

- May require working in shifts depending on business requirements.

- Should be comfortable handling multiple operational responsibilities simultaneously.
