Job Overview:
We are looking for a Flexcube Operations Specialist to manage and support the day-to-day operations of the Oracle Flexcube Core Banking System. The ideal candidate will be responsible for system monitoring, issue resolution, user management, and ensuring smooth banking operations while working closely with IT, infrastructure, and business teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Flexcube System Operations & Monitoring
- Ensure the smooth functioning of Oracle Flexcube by monitoring system performance and resolving operational issues.
- Handle EOD (End-of-Day) / EOM (End-of-Month) processing, batch jobs, and reconciliations.
- Troubleshoot Flexcube application, database, and interface-related issues.
- Perform data extractions, queries, and reporting as required by business teams.
- Work on automation of operational tasks to improve system efficiency.
2. User & Access Management
- Manage user roles and privileges as per bank policies and security guidelines.
- Handle authorization matrix updates and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Grant/Revoke system access to employees based on approvals.
3. Incident & Problem Management
- Investigate and resolve technical issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
- Work with Oracle support (SR Management) for issue resolution and patch implementations.
- Coordinate with internal IT teams and vendors for timely resolution of incidents.
4. System Upgrades & Patch Management
- Plan and execute patch updates, system upgrades, and bug fixes.
- Perform testing and validation before deploying any Flexcube enhancements.
- Ensure minimal disruption to banking operations during patch deployment.
5. Interface & Integration Support
- Support Flexcube integrations with third-party applications such as SWIFT, RTGS, NEFT, AML, and payment gateways.
- Monitor and troubleshoot API connectivity issues with external systems.
- Validate data flow between Flexcube and other banking applications.
6. Compliance & Audit Support
- Ensure system configurations comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
- Generate and maintain audit logs for user activities, system changes, and transactions.
- Assist in regulatory reporting and compliance audits as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Flexcube Core Banking System (UBS, FCUBS, or Corporate Banking modules).
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database Administration.
- Experience with Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting.
- Familiarity with Flexcube APIs, WebLogic, and middleware technologies.
- Understanding of ITIL processes for incident, change, and problem management.
Banking & Domain Knowledge:
- In-depth understanding of core banking operations, CASA, GEFUs, Payments etc
- Knowledge of EOD processing, exception handling, and GL reconciliations.
Soft Skills & Other Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage critical production incidents.
- Effective communication and coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prior experience working with Oracle support (SR Management) and vendor coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-6 years in Flexcube operations/support in a banking environment.
- Certifications: ITIL, Oracle Database Administration, or Flexcube related certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience with log monitoring tools like Kibana/Grafana, Logstash, or ELK Stack is an added advantage.
