Job Title: Fleet Supervisor Pharmaceutical Logistics

Job Summary
The Fleet Supervisor will oversee end-to-end fleet operations for our pharmaceutical distribution network, ensuring timely, compliant, and cost-effective delivery of products. This role requires hands-on experience in mile-ops (first, middle, or last-mile logistics), team leadership, cash-on-delivery processes, and pharmaceutical warehouse operations. Candidates with backgrounds in quick-commerce/instant-delivery platforms will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Mile Operations Management
- Plan, monitor, and optimize first/middle/last-mile delivery routes to maximize on-time performance and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with external carriers and in-house drivers to meet stringent delivery SLAs.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of 1020 delivery associates and drivers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, training sessions, and safety briefings.
- Cash-on-Delivery (COD) Handling
- Implement and enforce standardized COD procedures, ensuring accurate collection, reconciliation, and timely handover to finance teams.
- Resolve discrepancies and maintain audit-ready records.
- Pharmaceutical Warehouse Coordination
- Collaborate closely with warehouse managers to ensure seamless pick-pack-load processes, maintaining GDP/GMP compliance.
- Monitor inventory movement, temperature-controlled handling, and documentation accuracy.
- Compliance & Safety
- Enforce adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDP, EHS) across all fleet and warehouse activities.
- Investigate and report on any incidents, implementing corrective actions.
- Reporting & Analytics
- Generate daily/weekly/monthly operational reports (e.g., delivery KPIs, cost per mile, COD metrics).
- Use data insights to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 35 years supervisory experience in fleet operations within the pharmaceutical or cold-chain logistics industry.
- Demonstrated hands-on involvement in mile-ops (route planning, load balancing, carrier coordination).
- Proven track record managing COD processes, including reconciliation and audit compliance.
- Practical experience working in or alongside pharmaceutical warehouses, with knowledge of GDP/GMP standards.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency with TMS/WMS software (e.g., Oracle WMS, SAP TM).
- Strong analytical skills and comfort with Excel or BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
- Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience in process optimization.
