Job Description

Position: Fleet Operations - AVP

Location: Gurgaon

Working Days: 6 days , on site - Monday- Saturday

Work Timings: 10am -7pm

Experience: 12 Y +

Role Overview :

The Fleet Head P&L Responsibility will be responsible for managing and expanding fleet operations, driving profitability, and overseeing all aspects of driver management, vehicle utilization, operations, and claim settlement. The ideal candidate should possess a strong business acumen, deep understanding of truck logistics, and proven leadership in managing large-scale fleet networks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the full P&L of the fleet division, ensuring revenue growth and profitability.
  • Oversee daily fleet operations, including vehicle dispatch, route optimization, and driver deployment.
  • Handle end-to-end driver management including hiring, retention, training, compliance, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure maximum earning capacity per vehicle and utilization of fleet assets.
  • Lead expansion of the fleet as per business demands and manage procurement of new vehicles.
  • Evaluate and implement new road development opportunities for cost and time efficiency.
  • Manage and expedite insurance claims and ensure timely settlement of vehicle-related claims.
  • Work closely with finance and strategy teams to maintain positive cash flow and cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and safety standards applicable to fleet operations.
  • Implement KPIs, dashboards, and MIS systems for performance tracking and reporting to top management.

Key Requirements :

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the logistics or fleet transportation industry.
  • Strong exposure to fleet operations, driver management, cost optimization, and expansion planning.
  • Hands-on experience with managing P&L, budgeting, and revenue forecasting for fleet business.
  • Solid understanding of vehicle insurance, claim processes, and legal regulations related to transport.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience with large fleet scale (minimum 500+ vehicles) preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering, Logistics, or Business Management.
