Job Description
Position Summary:
Plant locations is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems and services. This position involves managing a team of IT professionals, ensuring the availability and reliability of IT infrastructure, and contributing to the overall IT strategy of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Infrastructure Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy aligned with the organization's business goals and technological advancements.
- Team Management: Coordinate with team of IT professionals, including infrastructure engineers, network administrators, and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- System Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure systems, including servers, networks, cloud services, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to procure and maintain IT hardware, software, and services. Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Incident Management: Oversee the resolution of IT infrastructure incidents and outages, ensuring timely response, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
- Capacity Planning: Monitor and manage IT infrastructure capacity, proactively identifying potential bottlenecks and planning for future growth and resource requirements.
- Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security measures, policies, and best practices to safeguard IT infrastructure and data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans for IT infrastructure systems, conducting regular testing and updates.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the IT infrastructure budget, tracking expenses, optimizing costs, and making recommendations for investments in technology upgrades.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior management, department heads, and end-users to understand their IT infrastructure needs and provide regular updates on project status, performance, and improvements.
- Technical Leadership: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT infrastructure management. Provide guidance and mentorship to the IT infrastructure team.
- Development Task: Employee should have hands on development skill for custom business application. Will have to work some of the application project as and when required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in a combination of IT & Digital infra and Application deployment.
- Proven experience in IT infrastructure management, including hands-on experience with server systems, networks, storage solutions, and cloud platforms.
- Excellent knowledge about all aspects of information technology specifically with complex infrastructure environments.
- Previous hands on infrastructure experience.
- Excellent analytical and observation skills.
- Excellent time management skills and understanding the value of a baseline
- Innovative thinking and leadership with an ability to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams
- Experience with contract and vendor negotiations and management
- Specific experience in Agile (scaled) software development or other best in class development practices.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSA, MCSE, or ITIL are a plus.
- Willingness to travel between plant locations as required.
