We are seeking a skilled Fixture Design Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing fixtures that enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality. This role requires a strong engineering background, creativity in design, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop fixtures for manufacturing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and product development to create effective fixture designs.
- Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to determine the best fixture designs based on project requirements.
- Create detailed design documentation, including CAD models and engineering drawings.
- Evaluate and select materials for fixture construction based on performance and cost considerations.
- Perform testing and validation of fixtures to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for fixture-related issues during production.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in fixture design or related engineering roles.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and welding.
- Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
