Fixed Income and Macroeconomic Research Analyst

 STCI Primary Dealer Limited is one of the larger Primary Dealers accredited by RBI for underwriting and market making in Government securities. We are a leading player in the fixed income market and our operations include trading in Government Securities, Treasury Bills, SDLs, corporate bonds, CDs/CPs and interest rate derivatives. We also trade on proprietary account in equity markets and currency derivatives market.

About Role: Fixed Income and Macroeconomic Research Analyst

We are looking for an experienced candidate who will be assisting the Chief Economist in the Fixed Income and Macroeconomic Research department of the Company. The job profile will involve maintaining macro-economic data sets, assisting in forecasting & analyzing macroeconomic data points and preparing research reports & presentations on fixed income markets and macro-economic developments. It will also entail analysing the interest rate movements, monetary and fiscal policies, debt markets, liquidity conditions, and fixed income instruments to support investment decisions, trading strategies, client advisory, and business growth.

The preferred candidate will be a graduate in economics with 2-5 years of work experience in the macro-economic research department in a bank or NBFC. Further good oral & written communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel analytics are essential.

Key responsibilities:

·        Organizing and analyzing data sets using appropriate analytical research methods.

·        Assisting in forecasting & analyzing macroeconomic data points and preparing reports on government policies and regulatory developments impacting both domestic and global financial markets.

·        Assisting in preparing research reports & presentations on fixed income markets and macro-economic developments (including research reports on issues of topical interest like RBI Monetary Policy Union Budget, etc) for inhouse circulation as well as circulation to clients.
