Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Firewall / Network Security Engineer to design, implement, manage, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall and network security infrastructure. The role involves handling production environments, security policies, incident response, and ensuring high availability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and manage enterprise firewall environments

Implement and maintain security policies, NAT, VPN, and routing rules

Handle L2/L3 firewall support in 24x7 production environments

Troubleshoot network connectivity, latency, and security issues

Perform firewall rule reviews, optimization, and cleanup

Manage site-to-site and remote access VPNs

Support DC, DR, and cloud network security setups

Coordinate with SOC, Network, Server, and Application teams

Handle security incidents, alerts, and change requests

Ensure compliance, audit readiness, and documentation

Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and HA failover testing

Create SOPs, diagrams, and RCA reports

Firewalls:

FortiGate

Cisco ASA / Firepower

VPN: IPsec, SSL VPN, AnyConnect

Security Features: IPS/IDS, URL Filtering, Anti-Virus, App Control

Load Balancing

Networking Skills

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, OSI model, routing & switching basics

Protocols: BGP, OSPF, Static routing

VLANs, Subnets, NAT, ACLs

DNS, DHCP fundamentals

Monitoring & Tools

Firewall logs analysis

Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Zabbix, Nagios)

Cloud Security

Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

Good communication and stakeholder coordination

Ability to handle high-severity incidents calmly

Experience working in ITIL / Change Management processes

CCNP Security

Education

Bachelor's degree in IT / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience
