Job Summary

We are hiring a Senior Firewall Engineer for a large Smart City project in Qatar. The role involves managing the day-to-day operations, security, configuration, and lifecycle management of Palo Alto Networks firewalls across Azure-hosted and on-premises environments using Panorama.

The engineer will work closely with infrastructure, security, and connectivity teams to manage firewall policies, VPNs, PAN-OS upgrades, threat remediation, SSL/TLS certificates, and security operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama environments.
• Configure and maintain security policies, NAT rules, VPNs, and HA firewalls.
• Perform PAN-OS upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
• Handle SSL/TLS certificate management and secure web publishing.
• Monitor firewall health, logs, threats, and SIEM integrations.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, and firewall-related incidents.
• Maintain ITSM records, documentation, and operational reports.
• Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and change management teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewall operations and lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Security policies
• NAT rules
• Panorama
• IPSec VPN
• SSL/TLS
• PAN-OS upgrades
• ITSM ticket management
• Experience with Azure and Microsoft Sentinel environments.

• PCNSE (Mandatory)
