Job Purpose: To manage and implement fire safety strategies, ensure compliance, and drive operational excellence across assigned businesses. This role involves leading a team, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the Fire Safety Head in achieving group-wide safety objectives
Job Responsibilities
Duty Shift In-charge - Fire
Strategic Roles And Responsibilities
Drive the Fire Safety team members in aligning the fire safety strategy with the Adani group's shortterm and longterm goals and operational priorities.
Contribute to the development of fire safety frameworks by integrating businessspecific requirements into standardized group policies.
Coordinate periodic reviews with business units to ensure fire safety measures align with organizational strategies and industry best practices.
Provide inputs for strategy formulation based on feedback from business units and emerging safety challenges.
Risk Management And Mitigation
Develop and implement risk assessment protocols to identify and address fire safety risks across assigned businesses.
Oversee the monitoring and reporting of fire safety risks in highrisk industries such as logistics, manufacturing, and infrastructure.
Collaborate with business teams to customize and deploy risk control measures, ensuring minimal operational disruption.
Analyze risk trends and recommend preventive actions to improve safety standards
Crisis And Incident Management
Lead crossfunctional teams during fire emergencies, ensuring a wellcoordinated response to safeguard lives and assets.
Manage the implementation of emergency response protocols, ensuring preparedness through regular simulations and drills.
Conduct and oversee postincident investigations, documenting root causes, and recommending corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
Support the creation of business continuity plans integrating fire safety considerations.
Process Adherance And Governance
Ensure compliance with national and international fire safety regulations across all assigned businesses.
Conduct audits of fire safety measures, systems, and documentation to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with regulatory authorities and represent the group in industry forums to advocate for favorable policies and standards.
Standardize reporting on compliance metrics, enabling seamless communication with leadership.
Research And Innovation
Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in fire prevention and suppression.
Implement pilot projects for advanced fire safety solutions, such as IoTbased monitoring systems and AIdriven risk assessments.
Collaborate with R&D teams to refine and roll out innovative safety practices across the group.
Evaluate new technologies for scalability and integration into groupwide fire safety frameworks.

Responsibilities
- Undertake fire safety audit of all Adani buildings/ installations/ premises within Ahmedabad at regular intervals and share the findings with relevant stakeholders for further compliance.
2 Train supervisors and operators with respect to departmental procedures and activities and conduct specialized drills.
- Undertake comprehensive study, design FAPA layouts, prepare BoQs and execute it on ground.
4 Ensure all existing fixed and portable fire protection systems are thoroughly maintained and operational.
5 Ensure issuance of AMC of fire detection system, hydrant system and fire extinguishers in coordination with commercial department.
6 Ensure all SOPs are updated and practiced; to be used during emergencies
7 Provide Fire training to all employees and outsource staff. Conduct emergency evacuations drills at Ahmedabad.
8 Undertake fire incident investigation and would be able to prepare reports as per predefined templates
9 Possesses in-depth knowledge of current fire suppression and fire-fighting techniques, including all related equipment.
10 Liaison & coordination with Municipal Fire Department.
11 Good knowledge of the principles and practices involved in emergency medical services.
12 Good knowledge of fire records systems, communications equipment and use, fire computer applications and fire reporting procedures.
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of experience (for BE Fire) / 5 years experience (for Station Officers Course) preferably in a corporate / building fire safety setup.
Ability to train, assign, organize, prioritize, motivate, supervise, and evaluate.
Ability to develop and implement Emergency procedures.
Ability to conduct Fire drills & Mock drills on Medical emergency, Bomb Threats/Search Handling, riots situation handling,
Ability to communicate well with others, both orally and in writing.
Ability to work as a part of team if need be
Good knowledge of current fire suppression and fire-fighting techniques, including all related equipment.
Good knowledge of fire records systems, communications equipment and use, fire computer applications and fire reporting procedures.
Must possesses in-depth knowledge of relevant fire safety codes and regulations
