Electrical - Fire Alarm System Engineer

Job Description
- Reports to the Lead Engineer (LE)
- Design Fire alarm systems in accordance with local, national, and international Fire safety codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, IEC, BS).
- Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics for Fire alarm systems.
- Carry out procurement activities such as MR, TBE, Vendor print review etc. for Fire Alarm System.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and project updates for clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and construction managers, to integrate Fire alarm systems into overall project designs.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine Fire alarm system requirements and optimal solutions.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of Fire alarm systems to ensure proper functionality and compliance as part of Field Engineering.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues related to Fire Alarm system.
- Ensure that Fire alarm systems are compliant with all relevant safety regulations and standards.
- Manage vendors and contractors for Fire Alarm systems procurement, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide technical support and training to other engineers, technicians, and clients regarding Fire alarm systems.
- Work closely with the project management team to meet project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Participate in vendor/ subcontractor meetings
- Model Review in Navis Works / Working experience in AutoCAD
- Familiarity with ISO/Quality control procedures.
Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in design and implementation of Fire alarm systems in an EPC context or specialized system vendor/manufacturer in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or industrial sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Fire alarm system components, including control panels, detectors, and notification devices.
