Prepare and review Fire & Life Safety (FLS) drawings and reports in compliance with SBC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA, and international standards.
Develop fire compartmentation layouts and ensure proper fire rating of walls, doors, and structural elements.
Perform egress calculations (occupant load, exit width, travel distance, common path, dead-end corridors) and ensure compliance with codes.
Prepare and modify drawings using AutoCAD (FLS layouts, evacuation plans, fire-fighting systems, access layouts).
Analyze and design fire vehicle access routes, ensuring proper turning radius, access roads, and proximity to firefighting equipment.
Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams for FLS integration.
Support in preparing submissions for Civil Defense approval.
Assist engineers in preparing of design stage.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Fire & Safety / Architectural / Civil.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory). Knowledge in Revit is plus
Strong knowledge of compartmentation, egress principles, fire vehicle access, and evacuation analysis.
Familiarity with codes & standards: SBC, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, NFPA.
Good understanding of fire alarm & fire suppression systems (sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, extinguishers).
