FinOps Lead

The role

This is an in-house FinOps leadership role for someone who combines technology, data, cloud infrastructure understanding, and financial ownership to improve how we plan, monitor, and optimize cloud spend.

The ideal candidate operates inside the company context, translates cloud usage into actionable insights, influences technical and business stakeholders, and drives initiatives from analysis through execution and measurable impact.

The day-to-day

• Own company budget planning, forecasting, tracking, monitoring, and financial analysis end-to-end, ensuring cloud investments are aligned with technical priorities, product needs, and business goals.
• Partner with DevOps, AI Lab, R&D, Platform, Product, Finance, Business, and leadership stakeholders to understand cost drivers, align priorities, and move optimization initiatives forward.
• Develop and communicate cloud cost metrics, dashboards, and insights that support better decisions and track the impact of optimization work.
• Proactively identify, prioritize, and drive cost-saving and efficiency opportunities, ensuring recommendations become concrete actions with tracked outcomes.

Ideally, we're looking for:

• Hands-on experience in an in-house FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial operations role, with direct ownership of cloud spend optimization from analysis through execution.
• Strong analytical skills and technical orientation, with the ability to research, analyze, and visualize cloud cost and usage data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, including the ability to influence without formal authority across technical teams, finance partners, product leaders, and executives.
• Ability to leverage AI tools and automation to accelerate analysis, streamline reporting, identify optimization opportunities, and increase the scale and impact of the FinOps function.
• A proactive, independent, get-things-done mindset, with the ability to learn quickly, push through ambiguity, collaborate effectively, and take ownership until results are delivered.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

These would also be nice:

• Knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure.
• Advanced Excel and SQL proficiency, with experience using BI or data visualization tools.
