FinOps Cloud Engineer - Remote (India)

Global Enterprise Partners is supporting a leading international organization in optimizing and scaling its cloud operations across multiple business units and regions.

They are looking for a FinOps Cloud Engineer to take ownership of cloud cost management, financial operations, and optimization strategies across a multi-cloud environment.

This is a highly dynamic environment where analytical thinking, cross-team collaboration, and the ability to drive cost efficiency without compromising performance are critical.

Role Overview

As a FinOps Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud spend across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

You will work closely with engineering, finance, and product teams to establish FinOps best practices, improve cost visibility, and ensure efficient cloud usage across the organization.

This role requires strong ownership, the ability to translate financial insights into actionable improvements, and a proactive approach to optimization and governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze cloud usage and costs across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
• Implement cost optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce waste
• Develop dashboards and reports to track cloud usage, spending, and trends
• Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to align cost management practices
• Conduct financial reviews, audits, and cost allocation analysis
• Automate cost monitoring and optimization processes using scripts and tools
• Integrate FinOps tools to improve visibility and governance of cloud spending
• Establish and enforce governance policies to prevent over-provisioning
• Identify performance improvements to optimize cloud resource utilization
  
  

Key Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on cost optimization / FinOps
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud cost management tools
• Strong understanding of cloud pricing models and infrastructure
• Experience with scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Familiarity with FinOps principles and best practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with distributed teams
• Proven ability to take ownership and drive improvements

• Experience with FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer)
• Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of financial accounting or budgeting principles
• Background in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
• Experience working in large, enterprise cloud environments
