Job Title: FinOps Analyst

Department: Finance Operations / RevOps

Reporting to: Finance Operations Manager

Location: Remote

Type: Full-time

Role Summary

Adit is looking for a highly analytical, detail-oriented Data Analyst to support our Finance Operations function. This role will own end-to-end reporting and analytics workflows, build and maintain complex SQL queries, and help automate recurring operational processes across CRM and analytics systems within the Finance Operations.

You'll work closely with Finance Ops, Sales Ops/RevOps, Customer Success, and Leadership to turn messy SaaS operational data into clean, reliable insights that drive better decisions. If you enjoy solving ambiguous problems, building scalable reporting, and using automation + AI to work smarter, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

1) Data & Reporting Ownership

Build, maintain, and optimize reporting frameworks across Finance Ops and SaaS operations.

Create dashboards and recurring reports (daily/weekly/monthly) for key metrics such as revenue, churn, retention, collections, pipeline hygiene, billing performance, and operational KPIs.

Ensure accuracy, consistency, and governance of metric definitions (single source of truth mindset).

Translate business questions into structured analysis and actionable insights.

2) SQL & Data Modeling

Write and troubleshoot complex SQL queries (joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, deduping logic, nesting queries).

Validate data integrity across systems (CRM, billing, support, marketing, product usage data where applicable).

Assist in building clean datasets/tables for scalable reporting and downstream analysis.

Improve query performance and reduce reporting latency where possible.

3) Analytics Tools & BI Development

Build and manage dashboards using tools like Zoho Analytics.

Create optimized data models, calculated fields, and drill-down views for different stakeholder levels.

Support ad-hoc analysis requests with speed and high accuracy.

4) SaaS CRM & Operations Analytics

Work deeply with SaaS CRM data (example: leads, accounts, deals/opportunities, activities, lifecycle stages).

Support operational reporting for sales/CS/finance processes (renewals, upgrades, churn events, onboarding, adoption).

Identify gaps, anomalies, and process breakdowns through data trends and exception reporting.

5) Automation, Workflows & AI Enablement

Build and maintain automations/workflows in CRM tools (workflow builders, triggers, webhooks).

Automated alert chatbots and workflow integrations where needed (via webhooks, CRM tools, or automation platforms).

Leverage AI tools to speed up analysis, documentation, query generation, data cleaning, and anomaly detection.

Proactively propose automation ideas to eliminate manual repetitive tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

3+ years of hands-on SQL experience (writing complex production-grade queries).

Strong understanding of data structures and analytics fundamentals (tables, joins, normalization vs denormalization, basic modeling concepts).

Experience with BI/analytics tools such as Zoho Analytics, Power BI, or similar.

Strong working knowledge of SaaS operations datasets and CRM data flows.

High attention to detail with a structured, logical approach to problem solving.

Self-learning mindset ability to pick up new tools, systems, and business context quickly.

Excellent communication skills ability to explain findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Good-to-Have

Experience with automation platforms (Zapier/Make/n8n) or CRM automation/workflow tools.

Experience working with APIs/webhooks, chatbot logic, or simple integrations.

Familiarity with finance ops reporting (billing, collections, revenue leakage, renewals, churn analysis).

Exposure to Python (pandas) or spreadsheet modeling is a plus.
