About the Role:
As aFinancialTransactionsModeler,you'llbe at the intersection of financial markets andinsurance,helpingmanagingsophisticated portfolios that are key toSwiss ReL&Hgrowthstrategy.You'llapply your quantitativeexpertisetomodel,analyze, andoptimizeour financial markettransformation portfolios.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop andmaintainstochasticcashflowsmodelsforbespoke insurance transactions exposed to Financial Market risks, with focus onVariable Annuities,GMxB, andIndex-Linkedportfolios
Standardizeand automatetransaction reporting processes forhedging,valuationandrisk managementpurposes
Analyze biometricand policyholder behaviorexperienceto supportassumption updates
Supporttheonboardingof new transactions with technical precision and attention to details
Perform regular ad-hoc investigations into existing processes and data (policy data, P&Lattribution, reserving, etc.)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Swiss Re to improve management offinancial and biometric exposures

Our team plays a crucial role in supporting the portfolio growth of Financial Solutions as part ofSwiss Re L&H growth strategy. We work closely withmultiple stakeholders includingL&HStructured Solutions, L&HPricing & Structuring,Quantitative Analytics, RiskManagement, Finance, Treasury, and Asset Management to deliver innovative financial solutionsthat drive business growth and manage risk effectively.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
Academic background inSTEM with hands-on quantitative programming experience, preferably in QuantitativeFinance, Statistics,Physics, orComputer Science
4+ years ofprogramming and debugging experience in quantitative modelling or analytics(preferably in C, C++, Java, Python)
Experience with stochastic modelling, preferably offinancialmarket risksandinsurance cashflows
The following experience would be particularly valuable:
Relevant lifeinsurance/ reinsuranceexperience
Variable Annuities,GMxBorIndex-Linked products
Working knowledge offinancialmarketsandfinancialmathematics
Additionalexperience that would be an advantage:
Data engineering
Biometric experience studies,preferably using R or Python
Insurancestructuring andpricing
Liability modelling with actuarial platformssuch asProphet/FIS IRS, AXIS,orMoSes/RAFM
Actuarial qualification orprogresstowards it
L&H insurance portfolio management
IFRS 17,IFRS 9and regulatory frameworks
Collaboration withValuation,Treasury,Risk Management, Asset Management
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office atleast three days per week.
