Role & Responsibilities Manager (Accounting Advisory | ARC | Financial Services Clients)
Uniqus is seeking experienced professionals for our Accounting and Reporting Consulting (ARC) team. As a Manager, you will work closely with Financial Services (FS) clients to deliver high-quality Accounting Advisory services, manage senior stakeholder relationships, collaborate with Partners & Directors, and mentor team members. You will also support business development and practice management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in business development activities, including proposal and pitch development.
- Manage and strengthen client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact.
- Lead end-to-end project management across multiple engagements.
- Provide technical accounting advisory on complex matters (IFRS/US GAAP/Ind AS), including preparing technical memos.
- Support clients in implementing new accounting standards, including end-to-end adoption.
- Assist clients with financial reporting, including preparation and review of financial statements.
- Review and analyse client financial information and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide team members to deliver high-quality work.
- Stay current with accounting standards, regulatory updates, and industry developmentsespecially within the Financial Services sector.
- Apply independent and objective professional judgment to meet engagement expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Manage multiple engagements and deadlines with attention to detail and minimal supervision.
- Work with cross-border teams and be willing to travel globally for client engagements as required.
Requirements
We are looking for accounting professionals with strong experience in Accounting Advisory / ARC, specifically catering to Financial Services (FS) clients such as banks, NBFCs, asset managers, insurance companies, and fintechs.
- Strong domain expertise in accounting advisory, including GAAP conversion, accounting policy support, new standard implementation, and disclosure support under IFRS / US GAAP / Ind AS.
- Experience serving Financial Services sector clients in a consulting/advisory capacity.
- Strong project management, people leadership, and client management skills.
- Good understanding of accounting concepts and ability to apply them to moderately difficult or complex client situations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet stringent deadlines, and manage demanding client expectations.
- Flexibility to travel on short notice and willingness to travel globally as part of cross-border engagements.
- Demonstrate integrity, strong work ethic, professionalism, and lead by example.
Qualification:
- Qualified CA professional
- Experience in consulting practice
