The Finance Reporting and Analysis team is centered in SBO Chennai to submit the quality financial information for group consolidation It involves Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements preparation and review according to IFRS requirement. The position requires strong accounting skills and associated system skill set

What's the role

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, local GAAP, and Group Reporting guidelines.
  • Perform close activities, post journal entries, perform GL reconciliations.
  • Responsible for statutory reporting, coordinating with auditors.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure First Time Right standards in close cycles.
  • Drive Zero MJE (manual journal entries) ambition to improve control environment.
  • Provide performance analysis on revenues, margins, opex, working capital, etc.
  • Deliver variance analysis vs. budget/forecast/prior periods.
  • Prepare insightful commentaries, explaining business performance drivers.
  • Support commercial teams with analysis for decision-making.
  • Maintain dashboards, KPIs, and performance scorecards.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, including SOX/LSR compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments and monitor control effectiveness.
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors during statutory audits.
  • Maintain documentation for audit trails and walkthroughs.
  • Identify and lead process simplification opportunities.
  • Drive automation using Power BI, Power Automate, Alteryx, SAP tools, etc.
  • Improve efficiency across R2R/FP&A processes.
  • Work with Business, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Operations teams.
  • Ensure data accuracy in SAP, ERP, Subledger, Reporting tools.
  • Coordinate changes to chart of accounts, cost centers, profit centers.
  • Support integration of new systems during migrations or transitions.

What You Bring

  • A qualified chartered accountant or cost accountant with a minimum of 0 to 4 years experience pre/post qualification,
  • Proficient in standard office software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook; working knowledge of SAP is preferred.
  • Sound accounting concepts, excellent technical accounting (IFRS definitely and other Country GAAPs would be most useful), as well as strong analytical capability.
  • Strong understanding of internal business controls, with experience executing Manual of Authorities and ensuring compliance.
  • Highly organized and self-motivated, capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and customer-focused, with the confidence to coach and guide technical/business staff on procedures and self-help tools.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach and ability to build business knowledge and relationships.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior staff and handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
