Financial Portfolio Management Lead

Key Responsibilities:
1. University Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and lead strategic financial frameworks translating university-wide academic, research, and global expansion plans into annual budgets and 3-5 year financial models.
- Provide advanced financial modeling for intake sizing, international program launches, cohort planning, and cross-border collaborations.
- Shape campus-level and enterprise-wide strategies with focus on long-term sustainability, global ROI, breakeven analysis, and strategic investments in emerging markets.
2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Performance Management
- Own comprehensive annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning incorporating international revenue streams and currency risks.
- Monitor global performance metrics against strategic plans; proactively identify risks, opportunities, and drive corrective actions across domestic and international operations.
- Analyze program-, cohort-, and international partnership-level unit economics to optimize margins and support scalable growth.
3. Business Partnering & Strategic Decision Support
- Act as strategic finance partner to university leadership, academic deans, and international collaborators.
- Provide expert guidance on global pricing strategies, international scholarships, faculty exchanges, infrastructure for overseas campuses, and strategic vendor partnerships.
- Conduct financial due diligence for international joint ventures, MOUs, research alliances, and operational expansions.
- Align academic excellence with financial governance, balancing global ambitions with disciplined risk management.
4. Accounting, Controls & International Compliance
- Oversee outsourced accounting operations ensuring seamless integration with international financial reporting standards (IFRS/Ind AS convergence).
- Drive timely monthly closes, global MIS consolidation, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Establish robust internal controls, automated approval workflows, and perpetual audit readiness for domestic and international scrutiny.
- Coordinate complex statutory, tax, transfer pricing, and partner-university audits across India and global locations.
5. Strategic Reporting, Governance & Global Stakeholder Management
- Design executive dashboards and strategic reports for university leadership, international partners, accreditation bodies, and global investors.
- Ensure adherence to international finance policies, ESG reporting standards, and multi-jurisdictional approval frameworks.
- Lead first-level strategic reviews for international capex, cross-border contracts, and high-value commercial commitments.
6. Cash Flow, Treasury & Global Scale Readiness
- Lead sophisticated cash flow forecasting, multinational treasury management, FX hedging, and funding strategies for international expansion.
- Optimize working capital and capital deployment across global university ecosystems in alignment with strategic agreements.
- Spearhead implementation of enterprise-grade finance systems (ERP, BI tools) and standardized global reporting to support multi-campus scalability.
Desired Profile:
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience (CA / CPA / CMA / ACCA with international exposure preferred).
- Strategic finance leadership in multi-entity universities, global education groups, or international business units.
- Demonstrated success in education sector with cross-border operations, services, infrastructure projects, or operations-heavy global businesses.
- Expertise in outsourced accounting, matrix reporting, and international financial systems.
