Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager based in Navi Mumbai. The FP&A Manager will lead the planning, budgeting, and forecasting cycles, partnering with business leaders across realty, consumer products, media, and logistics to provide data-driven financial insights. Responsibilities include preparing financial models, variance analyses, and management dashboards; monitoring key performance indicators; and supporting strategic decision-making with scenario and sensitivity analysis. The role will also involve developing and improving FP&A processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and collaborating with accounting, operations, and senior leadership to optimize profitability and resource allocation. The FP&A Manager is expected to mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement in financial discipline and business performance.

Role Purpose

The FP&A Lead will be responsible for driving financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and business performance management across the company's consumer brands portfolio comprising Agarbatti, Camphor, Puja Oil, Puja Ghee, Injection Moulding Plastic Cleaning Tools, Home Care, and Personal Care products, etc.

The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to provide actionable insights on SKU profitability, BOM analysis, pricing, trade promotions, margins, budget variance, and business trends to support strategic decision-making and profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Budgeting

Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), budgeting, and periodic forecasting process.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts by business, category, channel, and SKU.

Develop revenue, gross margin, EBITDA, and working capital projections.

Coordinate with business heads to align budgets with strategic objectives.

Budget vs Actual & Variance Analysis

Conduct detailed monthly Budget vs Actual analysis.

Identify and explain revenue, cost, margin, and profitability variances.

Analyze operational drivers impacting financial performance.

Present variance reports with actionable recommendations to management.

SKU & Product Profitability Analysis

Monitor profitability at SKU, product category, customer, and channel levels.

Develop SKU profitability dashboards and scorecards.

Identify low-margin and loss-making SKUs and recommend corrective actions.

Evaluate new product launches and rationalization opportunities.

BOM (Bill of Materials) & Cost Analysis

Review and analyze BOM structures across all product categories.

Monitor raw material consumption and manufacturing yields.

Assess impact of raw material price fluctuations on product profitability.

Work closely with Manufacturing and Procurement teams to drive cost optimization initiatives.

Track standard cost versus actual cost variances.

MRP, Pricing & Margin Analysis

Analyze MRP positioning against competitors and category benchmarks.

Evaluate pricing strategies and recommend price revisions.

Assess impact of pricing changes on volume, revenue, and margins.

Monitor gross margin and contribution margin by SKU and category.

Support management in pricing decisions through scenario modeling.

Trade Promotion & Commercial Analysis

Evaluate effectiveness of trade schemes, discounts, promotions, and marketing spends.

Measure ROI on consumer and trade promotional activities.

Analyze secondary sales, offtake trends, and channel profitability.

Monitor impact of promotional activities on margins and working capital.

Trend Analysis & Business Insights

Perform trend analysis on sales, volumes, market performance, costs, and profitability.

Develop financial and operational dashboards for management review.

Identify emerging business risks and growth opportunities.

Provide insights to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance

Analyze plant-level performance and manufacturing efficiencies.

Monitor production costs, labor costs, and overhead absorption.

Support inventory optimization and working capital initiatives.

Evaluate capacity utilization and cost-saving opportunities.

Management Reporting

Prepare monthly business review presentations for senior leadership.

Develop KPI dashboards covering:

Sales Growth

Gross Margin %

Contribution Margin

EBITDA

SKU Profitability

Promotion ROI

Inventory Turns
