Job Description

Position: Corporate FPA Lead

Location: Banglore

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Experience Required: 4-6 years

The Role

The Corporate FP&A owns company-level financial planning and analysis — the AOP, forecasts, and estimates that leadership plans against, the P&L from CM3 down to PAT, and the cash and runway that keep the brand funded to grow.

This is a company-wide role that works directly with the Head of Finance and every corporate and support function. You will slice performance by category, channel, and geography; convert variances into corrective action; and bring a strategic finance lens to every major decision — new sub-channels, category bets, and changes to the AOP — so leadership knows exactly how the P&L and cash flow will move before they commit.

Your mandate is to make Corporate FP&A the function leadership turns to first when a decision has a number attached to it.

Reporting & Interfaces

  • Reports to: Head of Finance
  • Internal Interfaces: Head of Finance, Category Business Finance, Sales, Financial Controller / FinOps, Legal, HR, Supply Chain, and other department leads
  • External Interfaces: Auditors, Banks (as relevant to cash flow and runway), Board / Investors (as relevant to strategic studies)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

Within the first quarter, success in this role would mean:

  • Month 1 — Understand: Develop an understanding of the business, categories, channels, sub-channels, operating expenses, and finance arrangements. Build relationships with the Department Leads.
  • Month 2 — Build: Create the Corporate FP&A process — governance, cadence, metrics, and SOPs — to establish a best-in-class FP&A function.
  • Month 3 — Advise & Drive: Operate as an advisor to the Head of Finance and management. Drive the monthly FP&A cadence and drive results.

What You'll Own

A. Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnering

  • Work with the Head of Finance and other departments as the company-level FP&A partner
  • Be the finance function leadership turns to for a company-wide view of performance

B. Planning & Forecasting (Company Level)

  • Drive the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Quarterly Rolling Forecasts (QRF), and Running Monthly Estimates (RME) at a company level
  • Slice and dice AOP, forecasts, and estimates to Category, Channel, and Geography levels

C. P&L Ownership (CM3 to PAT)

  • Drive the P&L from CM3 to PAT margin levels, working with the Head of Finance and other support/corporate functions
  • Track Actuals vs. AOP / Forecasts / Estimates, and drive the analysis of what went well and what didn't
  • Convert variance analysis into corrective actions that keep the company on track to its end targets

D. EBITDA & PBT Improvement

  • Drive EBITDA and PBT improvement basis finance levers around Operating Expense optimization
  • Drive Finance Cost optimization as an additional lever to EBITDA and PBT improvement

E. Cash Flow & Runway Management

  • Drive cash flow and runway improvement through better working capital management
  • Drive optimization of funds across the business

F. Strategic Finance & ROI Studies

  • Drive strategic finance or ROI studies for proposed changes to the AOP, new sub-channels, or category/sub-category additions
  • Provide leadership with clear insight on how the P&L and Cash Flow will behave based on proposed changes, ahead of the decision

G. Governance & Advisory

  • Build and run the monthly Corporate FP&A cadence
  • Operate as an advisor to the Head of Finance and management by Month 3
  • Institutionalise metrics, SOPs, and governance so company-level performance is tracked consistently, month over month

Authority & Decision Rights

  • Sign-off on company-level AOP, forecasts, and monthly estimates before submission
  • Flag and escalate P&L (CM3–PAT), EBITDA, or PBT variances that require corrective action
  • Recommend Opex and Finance Cost optimization actions across corporate and support functions
  • Direct access to the Head of Finance and management on strategic finance, cash flow, and runway matters

Who You Are

Mandatory

  • MBA or Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • 4–6 years of experience in the D2C industry
  • Demonstrated growth to an FP&A level
  • Experience managing P&L, Working Capital, and Cash for a growing, fast-paced D2C Consumer Brand

How You Show Up

You bring:

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, comfortable modelling company-level scenarios and ROI
  • The ability to influence across corporate and support functions without direct authority over them
  • The ability to turn a variance into a decision, not just a number in a deck
  • Comfort owning cash flow and runway conversations with clarity and calm
  • Comfort building process and cadence from scratch across a company-wide remit
