Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced FP&A Manager based in India to support our US‑based Finance organization. This role will serve as a strategic extension of the US FP&A leadership team, owning complex financial analysis, planning support, and executive‑ready reporting, while driving data integrity and process improvements across financial systems.
This is a hands‑on manager role requiring deep individual contribution, strong judgment, and a high level of independence. While people management responsibilities may be limited initially, the role carries manager‑level ownership, decision‑making authority, and end‑to‑end accountability for key deliverables and stakeholder outcomes.
The ideal candidate will bring strong FP&A fundamentals, a consulting‑style problem‑solving approach, and the ability to work effectively across time zones with minimal oversight. A solid understanding of software and SaaS business models is required, including familiarity with metrics such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), recurring vs. non‑recurring revenue, and customer lifecycle metrics, as well as experience supporting forecasting and reporting for subscription‑based revenue models.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a primary FP&A partner to US‑based finance leaders and business stakeholders.
- Support monthly business unit reporting, review cycles, and executive presentations.
- Perform complex financial analyses related to performance management, forecasting, and business planning.
- Deliver insight‑driven recommendations to support strategic and executive decision‑making.
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of management reporting, dashboards, and executive‑level outputs.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data across multiple systems and sources.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data inconsistencies, structural issues, and process gaps.
- Establish standards, controls, and documentation to improve scalability and reliability of FP&A outputs.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex analytical, financial modeling, and data challenges.
- Apply structured problem‑solving techniques to ambiguous or incomplete information.
- Partner with upstream data owners and systems teams to drive root‑cause solutions rather than workarounds.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Master's degree (MBA) or professional certifications such as CA, CFA, or CPA (Preferred).
- 7–12 years of experience in FP&A.
- Exposure to planning and reporting tools such as Power BI, Alteryx; SAP experience.
- Proven experience supporting US or global stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, KPIs, and SaaS business metrics.
- Strong financial modeling capability, including dynamic P&L and variance analysis.
- Ability to interpret financial ratios and build Excel or Power BI dashboards.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver senior‑level outputs.
