About the Role
As a Financial Market Sales Manager in the Wholesale Banking division at IDFC FIRST Bank, you will be responsible for driving sales of financial market products—including FX, interest rates, and derivatives—to corporate clients and financial institutions. Based in Bangalore, this role requires a strong understanding of treasury and transaction banking solutions, client relationship management, and market dynamics. You will collaborate with internal teams to deliver customized solutions and contribute to the bank's growth in financial markets.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve financial market sales targets.
- Identify and acquire new corporate clients and financial institutions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to increase revenue and cross-sell treasury products.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver customized financial solutions.
- Promote digitized delivery of treasury products to enhance client experience.
- Prepare and present sales proposals and product pitches to clients.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Monitor sales performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (mandatory)
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in financial market sales, preferably in a bank or financial institution
Skills and Attributes
- Strong understanding of wholesale banking, corporate banking, treasury, and transaction banking products
- In-depth knowledge of financial markets including FX, interest rates, and derivatives
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client engagement skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability and willingness to travel for business purposes
