Amarante Consulting is seeking an experienced Team Leader / Financial Inclusion Expert for an upcoming assignment supporting the regulator in reviewing the current National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS II) and developing the next National Financial Inclusion Strategy (NFIS III) in a Pacific Island.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the strategic review of the current National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
- Lead the development of the National Financial Inclusion Strategy.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations with public and private sector institutions.
- Facilitate validation workshops and present strategic recommendations.
- Develop an implementation framework, governance arrangements, M&E framework and KPIs.
Desired profile
We are looking for an expert with:
- At least 8 years of experience in financial inclusion policy and strategy development.
- Demonstrated experience leading the development or review of National Financial Inclusion Strategies.
- Previous experience working in a Pacific
- Strong expertise in digital financial services, digital inclusion and financial sector development.
- Experience working with central banks, financial regulators and policymakers.
- Knowledge of gender-inclusive finance, MSME finance and financial capability.
- Experience designing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Previous experience in the Pacific region is highly desirable.
- Excellent facilitation, stakeholder engagement and report writing skills.
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Development, ICT or a related field.
The assignment is expected to last approximately 4 months and will combine home-based work with missions to the Pacific Islands.
