Job Description

Job Role : Finance Controller

Experience : 7+

About the Role:

To handle the Controllership function for Statiq Entities. The Controller should ensure ownership for Financial & Accounting and Closing & Reporting including review of general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparation of reports as part of the Month close process, adherence to Local GAAP Accounting (and IFRS / US Gaap in future), Audit and tax compliances. Scope includes Preparation of reports for Statutory and Management purposes. Also ensure that books and records are maintained properly in line with the Statutory requirements in India as well as in line with regulatory requirement for Holding Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Act as financial controller and strategic business partner to leadership team

• Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long term growth plan for the Business

• Preparing Chart of Accounts and other accounting policies

• Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to provide critical financial and operational information. Evaluate departments and make suggestions for automating processes and increasing working efficiency

• Participate in financial decisions as they relate to strategic initiatives and operational model & Implement policies, procedures and processes as deemed appropriate by leadership team

• Supervise the accounting department to ensure the proper functioning of all systems, databases and financial software. Provide regular maintenance and backup of all accounting systems and supervise company financial staff

• Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls, necessary compliances and financial procedures

• Oversee the preparation and communication of weekly, monthly and annual financial statements. Closure of Books as per Statutory and Board Requirement

• Manage cash flow planning process and ensure funds availability and oversee cash, investments and asset management area

• Utilize forward-looking models and activity-based analyses to provide financial insight into the organization's plans and operating budgets

• Engaging with external service provides including Auditors to completr the statutory activities on time. Remain current on audit best practices as well as state, and central laws regarding company operations and move towards and assisting implementation of ERP.

• Preparation of Annual Financial and Operating Plan at the beginning of the financial year and Review the compliance of the same periodically

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Qualified CA with 7+ years of relevant overall combined accounting and finance experience including financial consolidation

• Experience with Stakeholder including Investor reporting within a similar environment

• Strong finance reporting and analytical skills and thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures and good knowledge of general tax concepts and tax accounting

• Strong analytical skills enabling complex issues to be rapidly understood and explained in simple terms to others, and a range of potential solutions to be developed.

• Demonstrates personal commitment and drive to set and then meet or exceed high standards and objectives. Proactive approach in anticipating and resolving

• Strong knowledge of corporate governance and general management practices

• Strong knowledge in P&L Management including Budgeting & Forecasting – Financial Planning

• Experience of ERP Implementation

• Knowledge of Fund-Raising Process
