Financial Controller - Key User of SAP BPC (FAST)

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The Financial Controller / Key User of SAP BPC (FAST) will act as the principal business expert and coordinator for planning, reporting, and consolidation processes using the FAST platform (SAP BPC). This position is responsible for mastering both the technicalities of SAP BPC and the business content of its applications, acting as a critical bridge between finance teams and IT support, ensuring data reliability, process alignment, and performance visibility across the enterprise. The role is pivotal in closing, reporting, managerial adjustments, and continuous improvement of system use.

This position will play a crucial role in guaranteeing the accuracy, timeliness, and business relevance of financial planning and reporting across the segment, serving as both a finance expert and technical champion for SAP BPC/FAST in the GCC India team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Data Quality & Controls:

• Ensure data reliability, validation, and reconciliation between FAST and BPM for all reporting categories: ACTUAL, MRF, BP, SP
• Perform daily and monthly alignment checks between FAST and BPM during closing and planning cycles.
• Act as owner of cross-tool controls and escalate mismatches for resolution

Financial Close & Allocations:

• Prepare the AMS Allocation file from AMS fresh results and distribute to Finance teams for monthly closing and forecast
• Coordinate and execute managerial adjustments (interworks flows) based on input from Commercial Controlling Team, by D+7 monthly deadline
• Oversee the completion and timely publication of TEFCE packages in BPM (group consolidation tool) by D+7 every month

Business Partnering & Support

• Provide proactive, high-quality support to segment and cluster finance teams for data entry and reporting in FAST
• Ensure all teams meet reporting deadlines and data quality standards
• Lead business process improvements and support best practices in usage of SAP BPC toolset

Reporting & Presentation

• Ensure the completion and timely distribution of the managerial presentation (BSC/MPR), by D+10, consolidating all relevant performance data and KPIs

Oversee the timely publication of planning rounds (MRF, BP, SP) into BPM, ensuring strict cross-system alignment and meeting all deadlines set by Group Analytics and Performance Management (GAPM)

Continuous Process Improvement

• Identify and drive process optimization opportunities in financial planning, reporting, and consolidation
• Lead key user community activities, knowledge sharing, and solution enhancements
• Support testing, documentation, and user acceptance for new functionalities or process upgrades in SAP BPC (FAST)

REQUIREMENTS

Degree: Qualified Chartered Accountant (Must have)

Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in financial controlling, FP&A, or business performance management, with at least 3 years as key user or process owner in SAP BPC (or equivalent tool); experience in manufacturing/steel industry preferred

Language: Strong English communication (written & spoken) required

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance 5+ years experience in the area
• Proficiency with current financial software
• Understanding of US GAAP
