Position Summary:
- The Plant Controller is a key leader on the plant leadership team. Contributes to all areas of plant management and provide strong financial leadership. The Plant Controller is responsible for planning and coordinating plant budget and business planning activities in alignment with corporate policies and practices. The incumbent will provide financial direction to the plant and provide recommendations to improve site performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- • Manage month-end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports.
- Estimate product costs to support quoting activities Experience/Skills/Specific.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, TCS, Income Tax and other statue.
- Leads the plant financials and capital budgeting process.
- Analyse variances and communicates explanations to management with recommended actions
- Prepare forecasts of income statement, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows for the Plant
- MIS (Daily, Monthly), Inventory control, Logistics cost analysis, Manpower cost, Project cost control, Contracts and Liaising work.
- Co-ordination with statutory and internal auditors to ensure timely completion of audit and publish the audited accounts.
- Monitor and implement plant internal controls (in conjunction with corporate policies) as necessary to ensure reporting integrity, safeguard company assets, and identify risks.
Knowledge/Education:
- Chartered Accountant with 7- 10 years experience in a similar position in Steel/Cement Industry.
- Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projection
- Cost accounting experience
- Demonstrated expertise in MS Office and ERP - experience with Light House ERP is a bonus
- Good planning and organizational skills
