Restaurant Finance Manager(Controller)
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including the preparation of P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Daily MIS Reports: Daily sales, collection & Payment reports
- Bank Reconciliation: Monitor Daily Bank Reconciliation
- Prepare restaurant Budgets: Prepare yearly and monthly Budget for the restaurant.
- Recipe costing: Coordinate with execution and purchase team and prepare recipe costing for the products.
- Cost Control & Variance Analysis: Monitor and analyse Prime Costs (food, beverage, and labour). Investigate discrepancies between theoretical and actual costs.
- Multi-Unit Oversight: Manage and consolidate financial data from multiple restaurant locations, ensuring consistent reporting and standardization across all outlets.
- Inventory & COGS: Oversee inventory accounting, including periodic physical counts, and manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) reporting per item or outlet.
- Payroll: Verify the payroll processed by HR to ensure the proper deduction of Advance, loan, pf, pt etc.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure timely filing of sales and use tax, payroll tax, and other industry-specific regulatory reporting.
- Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor junior accountants or bookkeeping staff.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is typically required.
- CMA (Certified Management Accountant) are highly preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, specifically in the hospitality or restaurant.
