Job Description


Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing all core finance and accounting activities for Articulus Surgical. This role manages the preparation and review of financial statements, ensures accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintains robust accounting controls and compliance with relevant regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include budgeting and forecasting, cash flow management, variance analysis, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions and operational efficiency. The Financial Controller will also collaborate with leadership on investor reporting, audits, and funding-related financial due diligence, while implementing processes and systems that support scalable growth in a high-innovation, medtech environment.

  1. Manage daily accounting operations, bookkeeping, and financial records.
  2. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and MIS.
  3. Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting activities.
  4. Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and statutory regulations.
  5. Coordinate audits and maintain accurate financial documentation.
  6. Oversee vendor payments, invoicing, reimbursements, and payroll coordination.
  7. Analyze financial data and provide insights for business decision-making.
  8. Implement and improve financial controls, SOPs, and reporting processes.
  9. Support founders with budgeting, cost optimization, and strategic planning.
  10. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial and operational process

Qualifications

  • Strong accounting foundation, with demonstrated experience in Accounting and preparation of Financial Statements.
  • Proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with local and international standards as applicable.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, perform variance and trend analysis, and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Experience setting up or improving financial processes, controls, and systems in a growth-stage or technology/medical device company.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; professional certification (CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
  • Comfort with modern financial tools and ERP/accounting software, and strong proficiency in spreadsheets and financial modeling.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ownership mindset suited to a mission-driven, fast-paced environment.
