Job Description

Assets Under Management

  • Ensure monthly control and validation process specific to AUM and asset flow information with completeness and accuracy.
  • Prepare quarterly regulatory reports and deliverables
  • Maintain and manage standard reporting framework supporting internal/external stakeholders and consuming functions of AUM information
  • Develop and enhance standard operating procedures and establish a cross-trained team environment
  • Implement process and technology improvements through sound requirements and project management discipline
  • Perform data profiling exercises driving data quality reviews and measurement
  • Support the preparation of quality and comprehensive financial / management reports for all BU's supported by the team in relation to AUM..
  • Supporting the business planning and analysis efforts
  • Officer will be a key member of the Finance team driving quality control and process governance to the Assets Under Management (AUM) reporting function supporting State Street Global Advisors (GA). The incumbent will work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment to ensure transparency and consistent application of policies under a robust control framework.
  • A successful candidate will possess demonstrated process management and analytical expertise capable of identifying and executing on areas of improvement while meeting deadlines across various reporting deliverables.
    • Support the preparation of quality and comprehensive financial / management reports for all BU's supported by the team.
      • Review end results of said reports where required.
      • Review and ensure quality of QBR inputs as engaged by the team.
      • Review quality of work and seek feedback from stakeholders on work produced from the hub.
      • Prepare reports in the event of staffing crunch / BCP etc.
    • Establish a working relationship b/w the team and other Finance partners onshore as well as locally in the hub.
      • Creating platforms for team to interact with onshore counterparts within the Bank (including international CFO reporting).
      • Establish standing open communication channels with onshore counterparts to seek and absorb feedback and pass it on to the team / individual employee most effectively.
    • Supporting the business planning and analysis efforts:
      • Support preparation of financial models supporting the operating plan / forecast.
      • Ensure data is uploaded in to planning tool uniformly and consistently (for all BU's under scope)
    • Lead Cognos data and analytics
      • ANNR / EAR reporting
      • Review rates in the system and assess changes where required.
      • Stand up framework to derive said rates efficiently and repetitively when possible.
Experience / Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional experience in an operations, accounting or audit role; preferably in financial services industry.
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting; knowledge of asset management a plus
  • Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office toolset notably Excel, Work and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to liaise with senior stakeholders across a global organization; Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • High standard of quality, attention to detail and organizational aptitude
  • Requires independent initiative to analyze data and information with a drive to develop value-added solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills.
  • Change management, solution delivery mindset

  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and industry deadlines.
  • Highly motivated, multi-task capable and willingness to learn and develop within role.
  • Ability to travel if required.
