Description
Attending to the Revenue Accounting activities (end-to-end) independently for APAC region.
A Typical Day In The Life Includes
Activities include -
- Record, classify and reconcile all revenue transactions (Lic, SaaS, Renewals, Services) in General Ledger and Sub-Ledger
- Review application of revenue-recognition standards (such as ASC606) to contracts, renewals, etc.,
- Prepare and upload journal entries for revenue accruals, reversals, deferred revenue adjustments, PC reclasses
- Support month-end and year-end close activities (Rev. & BS account reconciliations, resolving variances, AR Periods close, etc.,)
- Generate regular revenue reports for management highlighting trends, shortfalls, and reconciling Forecasts vs Actuals
- Assist internal and external auditors with documentation, contract reviews and explanations of revenue treatments
- Propose system / process controls based on issues identified to strengthen the Billing processes
- Initiate process training to Billing Teams based on the issues identified
Basic Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in Revenue Accounting in GCCs
- CA / CMA (Inter) and B COM with 60% at Graduation preferred
- Excellent email writing and verbal communication skills
- Expertise in Revenue accounting (GAAP revenue recognition standards for SaaS Product Organizations), review, analysis and reconciliation processes and aged items clearance
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Should be ready for challenges as a SPOC (Single point of contact) to process owners
- Need to follow the SLA metrics strictly laid down by the business
- Should be analytical and have strong knowledge in MS Excel (incl. POWER Query, POWER BI)
- Flexible to work extended hours, if required based on process requirements
- Ability to work independently and as a team player wherever required
- Need to be self-driven and understand the importance of role & should be able to prioritize his work
