Program Manager

Summary

Join Amazon's Global Accounts Receivable team and shape the future of how we onboard business partners worldwide. You'll drive the integration of new initiatives onto our Order-to-Cash platforms, working across geographies and functions to deliver seamless experiences that support Amazon's mission to be earth's most customer-centric company.

In this role, you'll own the global implementation of new business integration programs, standardizing processes and driving efficiency while collaborating with finance, operations, technology, and product teams to solve complex business challenges at scale.

A Day in the Life

As a Program Manager on the Global Accounts Receivable team, you'll focus on integrating new business initiatives onto our Order-to-Cash platforms. Your day might include designing transactional workflows that align with business models, translating complex requirements into functional designs, and coordinating with teams across multiple geographies to ensure smooth implementations.

You'll work with finance operations, system developers, and business partners to define requirements, oversee testing, and develop standard operating procedures. You'll also monitor program performance, identify potential issues before they escalate, and collaborate across functions to drive adoption of best practices. Your work directly impacts how efficiently we onboard new businesses and serve our global partners.

We're focused on continuous improvement and innovation—constantly seeking ways to reengineer our systems and processes to better serve our customers and internal stakeholders.

Key Job Responsibilities

Lead global integration initiatives by owning the implementation of new businesses and subsidiaries onto Accounts Receivable platforms, ensuring scalable and standardized approaches across geographies

Design and translate business requirements into functional solutions by defining business scenarios, converting them into system and operational requirements, and creating comprehensive process documentation

Coordinate cross-functional implementations by partnering with teams across finance, operations, technology, and business units to launch initiatives globally, manage transitions, and ensure alignment on best practices

Monitor and optimize program performance by establishing performance metrics, proactively tracking program health, identifying risks, and implementing solutions to prevent issues and drive continuous improvement

Foster collaboration and influence across multiple teams with competing priorities by communicating effectively, addressing barriers through problem-solving, and building commitment to shared goals

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

Experience managing cross-functional projects and programs

Experience in a Program Management or Project Management role on a global scale

Experience supporting Finance projects and exposure to Finance Systems or Applications

Exposure to Business Transformation or Transition-related projects

Preferred Qualifications

Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Demonstrated Project Management experience in Finance Operations

Prior experience in multinational organizations or business conglomerates

Experience with complex problem-solving using Lean or Six Sigma methodologies

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to work independently with minimal direction in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 4+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
  • Experience as a lean sensei, or experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer
  • 10+ years of cross-functional project or program delivery experience
  • Prior experience in a Program Management or Project Management role on a global scale
  • Previous experience supporting Finance projects and exposure to Finance Systems/Applications
  • Having exposure to Business Transformation / Transition related projects
  • Master's in Business Administration (MBA) or PMP Certification


  • Preferred Qualifications

    • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
    • MBA, or CPA
    • Knowledge of Tableau
    • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
    • Demonstrated Project Management experience in Finance Operations & Digital automation
    • Having prior experience in multinational organizations and/or Business conglomerates would be a plus
    • Strong Oral and Written communication skills required
    • Independent and entrepreneurial style showing the ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
