The impact you'll make
The Product Cost analyst is responsible for accurately costing by closely collaborating with business partners and Business Unit Controllers/analysts. She/he will conduct product cost analysis that aids in the decision-making process and improve margins.
This role requires a strong Financial Analyst who can manage multiple initiatives in parallel, provide insightful analysis and report on costing, drive programs to continuously improve accuracy of results, support multiple business partners, and ensure the division's goals are met for the company. The person must be able to multitask in a complex and demanding environment.
What You'll Do
- Support Quarterly forecast reviews (QxR), Annual Operating Planning (AOP)
- Partner with business units and other finance groups to build product cost forecasts
- Prepare and publish product margin analytics to improve costing forecast accuracy
- Develop costing models for various product lines
- Adhoc reporting (BOM analysis) and costing requests.
- Assist in cost roll process.
- Process Documentation.

- Problem solving: Proactively and independently identifies issues and drives them to resolution
- Interpersonal skills: Proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to summarize issues / analysis into simple and clear messaging and recommendation for senior management
- Systems expertise and efficiency: Strong SAP experience required.
- Work timings will be overlap with NA for 3-4 hours. Should be open to stretch during Month/Quarter close and Planning cycles and support stakeholders as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA Inter/CWA Inter/ MBA with relevant experience in costing
- 6- 7 years of relevant experience in costing environment
- Strong SAP experience required.
- Strong Excel modeling skills required.
- Manufacturing background required.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
