Job Description

Role Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst (P30) provides strong FP&A support to a consulting-led CXO organization, contributing to financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting through structured analysis and data-driven insights. The role works under guidance from senior FP&A leaders, supports complex analysis, and partners with stakeholders to improve financial visibility and forecast accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Support annual and quarterly budgeting processes and weekly/monthly forecasting cycles
  • Assist with in-quarter outlook updates across headcount, utilization, and spend
  • Analyze variances vs plan/forecast and highlight key risks and opportunities
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of forecast inputs

Consulting & Services Economics

Support analysis of core professional services metrics, including:

  • Revenue & Pricing: realization, effective rates, pricing trends
  • Utilization & Capacity: billable utilization, bench analysis, demand vs supply tracking
  • Project Profitability: project margins, overruns, write-offs
  • Pipeline & Sales Metrics: pipeline coverage, backlog movement
  • Resource Metrics: cost per consultant, leverage, pyramid indicators
  • Delivery Metrics: burn analysis, delivery efficiency tracking
  • Scenario Support: assist with scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis

Analysis, Reporting & Partnership

  • Prepare management and executive-ready reports, dashboards, and commentary
  • Support outlook and controller's letter inputs with data and analysis
  • Partner with finance, sales, and delivery teams to understand performance drivers
  • Translate analysis into clear insights for senior analysts and managers

Tools, Controls & Process Support

  • Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI / Tableau
  • Support planning and forecasting activities in Anaplan
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet schedules, and charge-out support
  • Follow established FP&A controls, templates, and review processes
  • Contribute to process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives

Experience & Qualifications

  • 6-9 years of FP&A or related finance experience
  • Exposure to consulting, professional services, or project-based business models preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
  • MBA / CPA / Chartered Accountant preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate insights clearly
  • Advanced Excel required experience with Power BI/Tableau and planning tools (Anaplan, TM1, SAP, MS Dynamics) preferred
