Position Objective
To lead the finance function for Events, MICE & Venues business, driving profitable growth, financial discipline, and robust governance across departments and large-scale event operations, while ensuring compliance, liquidity, and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Performance
- Define and execute short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Monitor department-wise budgets, spends, cash flows, and cost controls to drive profitability
- Oversee consolidated P&L, payables, and cost structures across all events and venues
- Conduct quarterly budget variance analysis and present actionable insights to leadership
- Manage Capex, Opex, and Revex spends in line with approved business plans
- Optimize tax structures and ensure timely compliance with statutory requirements
Financial Operations & Governance
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of accounting, MIS, and statutory reporting
- Oversee preparation and communication of monthly and annual financial statements
- Maintain strong internal controls, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance
- Lead audits, tax filings, and interactions with external auditors and authorities
- Oversee cash flow management, weekly payables approvals, AR management, and collections support
Process Excellence & Cost Optimization
- Design and implement finance, accounts, audit, and payment processes with defined SLAs
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and financial control
- Implement structured procurement and purchase order frameworks
- Achieve cost efficiencies across administration, non-IT, and office-related spends
- Publish process maps and turnaround timelines for finance activities
Stakeholder & Risk Management
- Partner with Marketing, Operations, and Business teams to provide timely financial support
- Identify and mitigate financial, legal, and commercial risks
- Establish and monitor internal feedback mechanisms with >90% positive quarterly scores
