What This Job Involves
Accounts Receivable Management:
- Analyze and research clients aging history against outstanding, over, or short payments.
- Handle and resolve all incoming queries, actively tracking and following up on pending issues.
- Contact accountants and various internal teams as necessary to determine proper payment application.
- Research and analyze duplicate and erroneous payments, collaborating with Bank and Treasury teams for reconciliation.
- Perform quality checks to ensure all deposits are correctly applied.
- Conduct month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Support cross-functional processes as and when required.
Reporting & Data Analysis:
- Work on various process-related and ad-hoc reports, including Monthly Balance Sheets, Direct Debit processing, AR to GL reconciliations, KPIs, and other quarterly reports.
- Analyze reports for system auto applications to ensure proper payment application.
- Analyze reports for Corporate Business Lines to ensure timeliness and accuracy of applications.
- Forecast accuracy reporting.
- Serve as an expert resource on gathered data and the data model, assisting in coordinating analysis.
- Support team efforts to develop efficient reporting strategies, including automation and simplification, while preserving data integrity.
Compliance & Process Improvement:
- Support archiving, records retention, and audit efforts.
- Escalate unresolved issues and concerns.
- Work with the Controllership team to ensure streamlined protocols are followed.
- Keep all process-related documents intact and updated on a real-time basis.
- Update process documents and capture exceptions during processing as required.
- Provide assistance during internal and external audits.
- Perform root cause analysis to drive process improvements.
- Support cost-savings and process improvement initiatives.
- Identify tactical and strategic opportunities, gaps, and financial risks.
Team & Stakeholder Management:
- Assist in training new employees.
- Liaise closely with the Onshore Finance team and other stakeholders.
- Ensure service delivery meets agreed norms and SLAs.
- Data Management, Reporting & stakeholder management.
You Need to Have:
- Education: A Graduate Degree in Accounting or a relevant professional accountancy qualification.
