Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Architect to design, govern, and deliver enterprise‑scale analytics solutions. This role will lead Power BI architecture and semantic modeling, with deep integration into the Snowflake data platform. The architect will collaborate closely with Finance IT, IT Data and Finance business stakeholders to deliver governed, high‑performance analytics across platforms such as Snowflake, OneStream, SAP, Databricks and SQL Server.

The ideal candidate combines strong BI architecture expertise, advanced Power BI modeling skills, and hands‑on Snowflake proficiency, with experience integrating financial and operational systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Architecture & Analytics Design

• Architect and lead end‑to‑end Power BI solutions, including datasets, semantic models, dashboards, and reports
• Design scalable, reusable Power BI semantic layers aligned with enterprise data standards
• Establish and enforce Power BI best practices for data modeling, DAX, performance tuning, and security
• Own Power BI tenant governance, including workspace strategy, deployment pipelines, and capacity management
• Support self‑service BI while maintaining enterprise‑grade governance and data integrity

Snowflake Data Platform Integration

• Architect Power BI–Snowflake integrations using DirectQuery, Import, and hybrid models
• Partner with data engineering teams to design analytics‑optimized Snowflake data models (star/snowflake schemas)
• Optimize Power BI query performance leveraging Snowflake SQL, virtual warehouses, and cost‑management strategies
• Ensure secure access patterns using RBAC, views, masking, and row‑level security between Snowflake and Power BI
• Guide data ingestion and transformation patterns supporting analytics use cases

Enterprise System Integrations

• Design and support integration with:
• OneStream (financial consolidation, planning, and reporting)
• SAP (S/4HANA)
• Databricks
• Translate complex financial and operational data structures into analytics‑friendly models
• Ensure consistent metric definitions between source systems and Power BI semantic models

Data Governance & Security

• Implement row‑level and object‑level security across Power BI datasets
• Align BI solutions with enterprise data governance, audit, and compliance requirements
• Define certification and promotion standards for datasets and reports
• Partner with risk, finance, and compliance teams as needed

Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as technical lead and mentor for Power BI developers and analysts
• Collaborate with data architects, Snowflake engineers, finance teams, and business stakeholders
• Provide architectural guidance during project planning, estimation, and delivery
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences
