Requirement: Finance officer
We are looking for a highly competent Accounting & Finance Professional with strong expertise in core accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and team leadership to join our Accounts & Finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Supervise and mentor the finance/accounts team, allocate work, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Coordinate finance activities across one or more campuses/locations and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
- Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) accounting, bookkeeping, and ledger scrutiny.
- Handle journal entries, invoice processing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and account finalization.
- Perform bank reconciliations, customer/vendor reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, and support cash flow planning.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, statutory requirements, and coordinate internal, statutory, and external audits.
- Maintain financial records in accordance with accounting standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Work on ERP systems, preferably SAP, and demonstrate strong proficiency in MS Excel.
Eligibility:
- Postgraduate qualification is mandatory (M.Com / MBA Finance). CA Inter or Chartered Accountant (CA) will be an added advantage.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in core accounting and finance.
- Proven expertise in General Ledger, journal entries, invoice processing, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, financial reporting, account finalization, GST, TDS, and statutory compliance.
- Prior experience leading or managing a finance/accounts team with the ability to guide, mentor, and drive performance.
- Experience coordinating finance operations across multiple locations/campuses/business units is highly preferred.
- Experience in University/Higher Education finance, including knowledge of university financial procedures, audits, regulatory norms, and statutory compliance, will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience with SAP ERP is preferred.
