About the Organization

Khushi Baby is a 10-year-old digital health nonprofit with expertise in building solutions for Ministries of Health. Founded with a mission to bridge gaps in primary healthcare by empowering community health workers, health officials and partners with innovative digital tools to strengthen last mile health systems, Khushi Baby has partnered with state governments in Rajasthan, Karnataka, and Maharashtra to drive data-driven health systems strengthening at scale. Our 120-member interdisciplinary team integrates expertise in public health, epidemiology, data science, software engineering, product design and health policy to rethink how community health data is collected and acted upon to improve health outcomes at the last mile.

Experience & Qualifications
  • 48 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of TDS, GST, audits, budgeting, MIS, and grant/fund management.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Tally, Zoho Books, or QuickBooks.
  • Qualifications: M.Com / MBA (Finance) / CA Intermediate.
  • Excellent analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Financial Management, Accounting & Compliance

Financial Management & Project Accounting

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Verify and process employee travel and other claims as per policy.
  • Prepare periodic reconciliation statements, including bank reconciliations.
  • Handle payroll processing and preparation of payroll slips.
  • Manage all project accounts, handle petty cash entries

Compliance, Audit & Treasury

  • Preparing statutory compliances (Income Tax, TDS, PF, GST, etc.), and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate and support project grant audits, statutory audits, donor reviews, and other audit processes.
  • Asset verification, maintaining records, and support in asset management activities.
  • Manage procurement-related documentation, including request for quotation, its collection, preparing comparative matrix and maintenance of records.

Systems & Controls

  • Support on strengthening financial systems and operational processes for improved effectiveness.
  • Support the leadership team in ensuring quality financial controls and smooth financial operations across the organization.

B. Reporting, Documentation & Cross-Functional Support

Reporting & Documentation

  • Draft and review service agreements with stakeholders.
  • Preparing audit documentation for individual projects and statutory records.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Collaborate and support administrative, procurement, HR and program teams on functioning on a day-to-day basis.
  • Undertake other project or organizational activities as assigned.

Applicants are expected to have moderate experience in FCRA guidelines, statutory compliances and documentation for project auditors as well as other internal and external stakeholders.

Compensation Details

The remuneration offered will be competitive with industry standards, ranging from 810 LPA, and will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and skill sets
