Job Summary
The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations of the manufacturing unit, including accounting, cost control, budgeting, compliance, and financial reporting. The role ensures strong financial governance, supports strategic decision-making, and drives cost efficiency in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities1. Financial Management & Reporting
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure accurate and timely closure of books
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial health
- Develop MIS reports and variance analysis
- Costing & Manufacturing Finance
- Manage product costing, standard costing, and variance analysis
- Analyze production costs and recommend cost optimization strategies
- Monitor inventory valuation and control (RM, WIP, FG)
- Work closely with production and supply chain teams
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
- Track budget vs actual performance and highlight deviations
- Support strategic planning and financial modeling
- Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST, Income Tax, etc.)
- Handle audits (internal, statutory, tax audits)
- Implement and maintain internal financial controls
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
- Accounts & Treasury
- Oversee AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions
- Manage banking relationships and fund management
- Optimize cash flow and working capital cycles
- Team Leadership
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts team
- Improve team efficiency and implement best practices
- Coordinate cross-functional activities
Key RequirementsEducation
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance (preferred)
Experience
- 815 years of experience in finance/accounting
- Minimum 35 years in a manufacturing environment
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of costing and manufacturing finance
- Expertise in financial reporting and compliance
- Proficiency in SAP systems
