ROLE OVERVI

EWWe are looking for a hands-on Manager – Finance & Accounts to own the end-to-end revenue-to-cash cycle, ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our books, and provide management with clear, actionable financial visibility. This is a critical operational role that will work closely with project delivery teams, client stakeholders, the senior accounts lead, and the leadership team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Customer Billing & Collections

  • Coordinate with internal project and delivery teams to ensure invoices are raised accurately and on schedule in line with contractual milestones
  • Manage the full invoice lifecycle — draft, approve, dispatch, and track — ensuring zero billing errors
  • Own proactive follow-up with client finance and procurement teams for timely payment collection
  • Handle invoice disputes, discrepancies, and client objections with professionalism and swift resolution.
  • Maintain an up-to-date tracker of SOWs, POs, and MSAs; flag upcoming contract renewals well in advance and coordinate timely execution

2. Vendor Payables & Reconciliation

  • Validate all incoming vendor invoices against purchase orders, delivery confirmations, and approved budgets.
  • Perform timely vendor reconciliations and resolve mismatches before payment processing.
  • Ensure payouts are made within agreed credit terms, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
  • Maintain accurate payables records and flag any accrued liabilities to the leadership team.

3. Books of Accounts & Compliance

  • Oversee and review the work of the accounts team (Tally operator / bookkeeper) to ensure all transactions are correctly classified and tagged to the right cost centre.
  • Partner with the senior accounts lead to keep the books current, accurate, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Ensure all statutory compliances — GST filings, TDS, professional tax, and other regulatory requirements — are met on schedule.
  • Own the expense tagging and cost-centre allocation framework; review and sign off on entries before they are posted to Tally.

4. Financial Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare and present a monthly finance MIS to the leadership team covering revenue, collections, payables, cash position, and outstanding receivables.
  • Track key financial metrics — DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), creditor days, burn rate — and flag risks proactively.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation processes.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required by the founders or finance leadership.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Qualifications

  • CA (Inter / Final) or MBA Finance or B.Com / M.Com with strong practical experience.
  • 5–8 years of finance and accounts experience, ideally in a technology, IT services, or startup environment.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP; familiarity with GST, TDS, and Indian statutory compliance frameworks.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong ownership mindset — able to independently drive billing and collections without being chase.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise confidently with client finance teams and senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and a zero-tolerance approach to errors in financial records.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with project managers, delivery teams, and external auditors.
  • Experience managing SOWs, POs, and contract documentation is a strong plus.
  • Proactive and structured — able to maintain a well-organised tracker and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • A high-ownership role with direct visibility to the founding team.
  • Opportunity to build and standardise finance operations in a fast-scaling deep-tech AI company.
  • Competitive compensation in line with experience and market benchmarks.
  • Collaborative, merit-driven work culture backed by IIT/IIM alumni founders.
  • Exposure to marquee clients including central and state government bodies and large PSUs
