Role Overview
We are looking for a highly capable Accounting Professional to manage financial statements, lead closing activities, and handle day-to-day finance operations in SAP.
This role will function as a key support to the Financial Controller, acting as their right hand in ensuring accurate reporting, operational efficiency, and financial control across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end financial closing activities (monthly, quarterly, and year-end)
- Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) with high accuracy
- Perform daily finance and accounting operations in SAP (FICO), including postings, reconciliations, and issue resolution
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of routine accounting activities and transactions
- Act as a key support to the Financial Controller in all finance-related matters
- Assist the Controller in reporting, analysis, and decision support
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies proactively
- Maintain and ensure integrity of financial data within SAP
- Coordinate with auditors and support internal/external audit processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and statutory requirements
- Drive improvements in closing cycles, reporting accuracy, and finance processes
Key Requirements
- 510 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting
- Strong experience in managing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings independently
- Hands-on experience and strong competencies in SAP FICO with strong exposure to daily transactional activities
- Proven ability to manage both operational accounting and reporting responsibilities
- Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP/local standards)
- Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders, especially supporting a Financial Controller
- High attention to detail with strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and coordination skills - fluency in english (written + spoken), conversational proficiency in German is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent qualification
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-entity environments
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA
- Experience working in a fast-paced, process-driven organization
