Finance Manager

Reporting To: Finance Head

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven Finance Manager to lead and manage the organisation's finance, accounting, treasury, taxation, compliance, and financial controls.

The role will have significant exposure to import/export finance, customs and logistics-related financial processes, inter-company transactions, fund management, banking relationships, and management reporting.

The Finance Manager will work closely with the Finance Head, Managing Director, Directors, SCM, Sales, Legal, and other business teams, while also managing key external stakeholders including banks, auditors, tax advisors, customs authorities, and business partners.

1. Finance, Accounting & MIS

• Manage timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Prepare and review management MIS and financial analysis to support business decisions.
• Ensure effective month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Strengthen accounting policies, internal controls, and financial processes.
• Oversee ERP/Tally and ensure accuracy of ledgers, master data, reconciliations, and financial records.
• Lead statutory, tax, and management audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.

2. Import/Export Finance & Customs

• Manage the finance and accounting aspects of import/export transactions.
• Oversee valuation, customs duty accounting, IGST treatment, duty drawback, and inventory accounting.
• Coordinate with SCM, CHA, and Import/Export teams for appropriate financial and documentary compliance.
• Review accounting treatment of Bills of Entry, B/L, AWB, freight, and other import-related costs.
• Ensure accurate landed-cost calculations, import cost allocation, and customs duty reconciliation.

3. Taxation, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure timely GST, TDS, corporate tax, and other applicable statutory compliances.
• Coordinate with tax consultants and external advisors on taxation matters.
• Oversee statutory compliance related to payroll, benefits, and required filings.
• Strengthen financial governance, controls, and process discipline across the organisation.

4. Team Management

• Lead and manage the finance function covering areas such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Taxation, Treasury, Import Finance, and Payroll.
• Set clear team objectives, KPIs, SLAs, and performance expectations.
• Mentor and develop team members and build a high-performing finance team.
• Partner with SCM, Sales, Service, and other departments to ensure financial discipline and timely resolution of issues.

5. Treasury, Banking & Stakeholder Management

• Manage banking relationships, credit facilities, guarantees, and related financial requirements.
• Oversee fund management, cash flow, and allocation of funds.
• Support fundraising and financial discussions with banks, investors, and business partners.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for business growth and investment decisions.

• MBA (Finance), CA, CFA, CMA, or equivalent qualification with strong accounting and taxation knowledge.
• 2–3+ years of relevant progressive finance experience with exposure to P&L, treasury, taxation, and financial management.
• Strong hands-on experience in import/export accounting, customs duties, GST, and related compliances.
• Experience in inter-company accounting, transfer pricing, and related-party transactions.
• Exposure to treasury management, fundraising, banking relationships, and financial negotiations.
• Strong understanding of accounting controls, financial reporting, and MIS.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and commercial skills.
• Experience working with ERP/Tally or similar accounting systems.
