About The Opportunity

A dynamic organisation operating in the Finance & Accounting services sector, delivering robust accounting, statutory compliance, and financial reporting support to clients across India. We are hiring an on-site Finance Manager skilled in Sage accounting platforms to lead accounting operations, strengthen controls, and deliver timely, accurate management information.

Primary job title: Finance Manager 3 Sage Accounting

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations on Sage: oversee general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, and month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financials.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, variance analysis, cashflow statements, and KPI dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Ensure statutory compliance including GST, TDS, and other regulatory filings; coordinate with tax advisors and statutory auditors.
  • Lead bank reconciliations, intercompany settlements, and cash management to optimise working capital.
  • Drive process improvements and controls within Sage workflows: streamline journal entries, automations, and reconciliation processes.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external vendors during audits, ERP updates, and ad-hoc financial projects to meet timelines and SOX/internal control standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must-Have
    • Proven experience operating and administering Sage accounting systems (Sage 300 / Sage Intacct / Sage 50)
    • Strong expertise in month-end close and financial reporting
    • Hands-on experience with GST compliance and statutory filings in India
    • Practical knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable management
    • Advanced MS Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, Power Query) for reporting & analysis
    • Experience preparing for and supporting statutory and internal audits
  • Preferred
    • Experience with ERP implementation, migrations, or integrations
    • Familiarity with Ind AS or IFRS accounting standards
    • Experience with other ERPs (SAP FI, Tally) or financial consolidation tools
