Role Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and business-savvy Finance Manager with a strong foundation in accounting, statutory compliance, and operational finance. The ideal candidate will have post-CA experience in transaction-heavy, operations-intensive environments. Experience in logistics or transportation is a strong plus.
You will own critical finance functions including weekly MIS reporting, monthly closing, fixed asset management, payroll, and statutory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial MIS & Reporting
- Prepare and present weekly flash MIS covering key financial metrics such as revenue, cash flow, EBITDA, working capital, and volume-based KPIs.
- Analyze variances against budgets and forecasts and provide actionable insights to leadership.
2. Monthly Accounts Closing
- Lead the end-to-end monthly financial close process, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reporting within defined timelines.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
3. Fixed Asset Management
- Manage the Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of assets and reconcile records with books of accounts.
4. Statutory & Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconciliations with GSTR-2A/2B.
- Manage PF, ESI, TDS, and other statutory deductions and payments.
- Coordinate and support tax audits, statutory audits, and assessments.
5. Payroll Processing
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing, including salary calculations, reimbursements, deductions, and compliance reporting.
- Ensure timely payroll-related statutory filings such as Professional Tax, TDS on salaries, and PF returns.
6. Business & Commercial Support
- Provide commercial and financial insights through pricing analysis, customer/vendor contract reviews, and profitability assessments.
- Partner with operations teams to improve cost efficiency and working capital management.
Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified CA (Chartered Accountant) with 3–4 years of post-qualification experience.
- Total 5–6 years of finance and accounting experience.
- Experience in operations-intensive, transaction-heavy industries such as Logistics, Transportation, E-commerce, Manufacturing, 3PL, Fleet Management, or Warehousing.
- Prior experience in logistics or transportation is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Hands-on experience with accounting, taxation (GST, TDS), payroll processing, and statutory compliance.
