Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Finance Manager to oversee the finance and accounting operations of a diversified marine services business. This role is responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, audit coordination, statutory compliance, and supporting business performance across project, marine, and corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day finance and accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial performance analysis.

  • Monitor working capital, project costs, and operational expenditure to support business profitability.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting, taxation, GST, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audit processes, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance procedures.

  • Work closely with operations, procurement, engineering, and project teams on project costing and financial performance.

  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing activities.

  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, government authorities, and other external stakeholders.

  • Drive continuous improvements in finance processes, reporting, and ERP utilisation.

  • Supervise and mentor finance team members while supporting a collaborative and high-performing finance function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

  • ACCA, CPA, CA, or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.

  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

  • Experience within the marine, offshore, shipping, EPC, engineering, logistics, or other project-based industries is an advantage.

  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, and statutory compliance.

  • Proven experience managing external audits, internal audits, and year-end audit processes.

  • Hands-on experience with SAP ERP (SAP FI/CO or related finance modules) is required. Experience with other ERP systems is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams.

  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, project-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
