Job Description

We are looking for a Finance Manager who can handle finance and budgeting. Someone who can progress and grow with our Alternative Institute in a very dynamic and growing team of innovators. About the role: Lead the organization s financial management, budgeting and grants management activities. Handling the organisations financial health to support strategic decision making.

Responsibilities: 1. Prepares all necessary financial reports as per the calendar
2. Monitors financial details to ensure legal compliance.
3. Analyzes revenue, expenses, cash flows, and balance sheets.
4. Creates and maintains financial controls and procedures for the Accounts department.
5. Prepare annual budget for projects
6. Conducts periodic audits of budget items, including comparing expected to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons.
7. Provides relevant financial information to executive management team as and when required.
8. Oversees and takes responsibility for all financial procedures and records.
9. Maintains and responsibly keep checking accounts and invoices.
10. Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the ledgers.
11. Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits etc.
12. Performs other related duties as requested by the reporting authority and leadership.
13. Prepares statements for submission to funding organisations and investors.
14. Ensure correctness in entries and reconciliation
15. Manages the flow of cash and financial instruments.
16. Develops and oversees procedures to safeguard assets, records, and loan collateral and securities.
17. Assists management to make financial decisions.
18. Assist in creation of investor reports
19. Prepare the business plans for profitability of the organisation.

Preferred Educational Background: 1. MBA Finance with min 4 years of work experience or M Com with 7-8 years of work experience
2. Working in start-ups would have a definite advantage
3. Attention to detail, Strong Quantitative skills, analysing skills
4. Decision-making and Strong negotiation skills

Preferred Work Experience: 1. Min 4-8 years of work experience in managerial role handling finance
