Key Responsibilities

This role requires a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong analytical skills, deep knowledge of taxation and financial processes, and hands-on experience in eCommerce accounting. The candidate should be process-driven, proactive, and capable of managing end-to-end accounts independently while collaborating in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.

Core Accounting & Financial Management

  • Manage full-cycle accounting operations including invoicing, A/R, A/P, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
  • Handle eCommerce-specific accounting tasks such as marketplace fee reconciliation, payment gateway settlements, returns, and order-wise profitability tracking.
  • Oversee inventory and COGS accounting, including SKU-level reconciliation and periodic stock audits.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare annual budgets, conduct quarterly financial reviews, and perform variance analysis with actionable insights.

Taxation & Compliance

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing ofGST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, reconciliations)and maintain compliance with e-invoicing norms.
  • ManageTDS/TCS calculations and returns, including eCommerce TCS reconciliation with marketplace reports.
  • Maintain strong documentation and compliance trails for statutory audits.

Software & Tools Proficiency

  • Advanced working knowledge ofTally Prime / Tally ERP9, including inventory, taxation, and advanced reporting modules.
  • Proficiency withExcel/Google Sheets, accounting automation tools, and eCommerce dashboards.
  • Familiarity with marketplace portals and reconciliation tools (Amazon, Flipkart, Shopify, etc.) is a strong plus.

Vendor & Audit Management

  • Manage audits of third-party service providers, including vendor onboarding, contract compliance, and monthly verification of payments vs. activity.
  • Establish and oversee strong internal controls across procurement, sourcing, and payment processes.

Process Improvement & Special Projects

  • Lead initiatives to automate accounting workflows, strengthen controls, and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Drive special projects supporting business intelligence, cost optimization, and digital operations strategy.

Experience:

  • Accounting: 5 years (Preferred)
  • Tally: 3-4 years (Preferred)
  • total work: 4-5 years (Preferred)
  • E-commerce Accounting (Preferred)
